Cook with real food! Take time and effort to source fresh, good quality ingredients. Preferably organic, wild, local and in season.
Avoid artificial ingredients where you can. Never cook with corn syrup or with products that contain high fructose corn syrup. There is no need.
If at first you don’t succeed, try and try again. The satisfaction you will get from having perfected a recipe is, well, very satisfying!
Sit down for family meals as often as you can.
Always cook with gratitude for the plant or animal you about to prepare. Do it justice.
Be adventurous! Taste new flavors, visit markets, try out new recipes. Have fun!
Invest in good quality pans even if you have to build up your collection slowly over the years. They should out-live you.
Learn as much as you can from others and share your knowledge. Pass it on. It’s a karma thing.
